Look at posting an ad on any online magazine sites you may have a connection with like Alumni titles, sports club newsletters. Or try some of the better known sites like Friends Reunited, MySpace or even eBay. You’ll be surprised once you start investigating where you can promote your unique domain.

Three examples of some of the most recognised directories/classified sites are listed below… we strongly recommend that you utilise their popularity to your benefit. Please do research and find as many other relevant sites to ensure maximum exposure to potential renters.

	www.dmoz.com The Open Directory Project (Dmoz) is the Internet's largest directory system and is maintained by human editors. A website listing in Dmoz can also be an important part of having a website ranked well with Google and other major Search Engines. Be patient… it can take some time before your website is reviewed and submitted.
	Craigslist A worldwide directory that is location specific! Choose just ONE craigslist site for which your property is most relevant - this should generally be the site dedicated to your market audience or your own location. Once chosen, click ‘Post to Classifieds’ found on the left hand side… then ‘housing offered’ and finally ‘vacation rentals’.
	www.gumtree.com Launched in 2000, Gumtree has a rapidly growing community. It covers some 60 cities across six countries – the UK, Ireland, Poland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa - and is the UK's biggest website for classifieds. Post your ad under Travel service/Tours, choosing the relevant location of UK or non-UK.
	www.google.co.uk/base Google Base lets you describe your items with detailed information called attributes, which will help searchers find your content more easily when they search on various Google properties eg Google and Google Products. It is entirely free and you're always in control; you can edit or archive your information whenever you want (sounds familiar doesn’t it). Go to Post an item, choose Vacation Rentals from the drop down list and away you go.
